ZJNU history Background
Zhejiang Normal University(ZJNU), founded in 1956, is one of the five key universities in Zhejiang Province, and one of the top 100 universities in China. According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021, ZJNU ranks NO.1 among Zhejiang provincial universities, ranks between 23-33 in China, and ranks between 501-600 in the world. According to the US News University Rankings 2021, ZJNU ranks NO.1 among Zhejiang provincial universities, ranks 69 in China, and ranks 774 in the world.
Mathematics,Chemistry, Engineering, and Materialogy are the four top 1% disciplines in the world according to the ESI(Essential Science Indicators) global ranking, and 20 disciplines are listed as first-class disciplines in Zhejiang Province. There are 13 national first-class undergraduate professional construction sites, 21 national courses, and 4 national experimental teaching demonstration centers at ZJNU.
ZJNU possesses 3 campuses, covering an area of more than 4,000 acres with well-equipped libraries, laboratories, gymnasiums, entertainment centers, hospitals, supermarkets, etc. The university consists of 19 colleges and offers 71 undergraduate programs, 8 first-level doctoral programs, 1 professional doctoral degree program, 28 first-level master degree programs, 13 professional master degree programs, and 7 post-doctoral research stations.
There are over 50,000 students at ZJNU including more than 3,000 international students from over 110 countries. International graduates play important roles in politics, economy, culture, education and other fields all around the world. Its green and beautiful campus furnishes an ideal place for living, study and work. The university makes strenuous efforts to open up to the outside world. In recent years, cooperation of academic exchange has been set up between the university and over 280 overseas universities and institutes in more than 60 countries and regions.
2. Introduction to Programs
ZJNU has different programs for all categories of students , the Undergraduate degree programs, Masters Degree programs and also p.h.d Programs . There is also non-degree program of Chinese language available for international students
Undergraduate degree: They are over 53 Chinese -taught undergraduate majors and 9 English taught majors
Masters degree : the University offers 42 Chinese-taught master majors and 13 English-taught master majors for international students.
Doctoral degree: the University offers 21 Chinese-taught doctor majors and 6 English-taught doctor majors for international students.

★ CIS Scholarship
In previous years, the deadline is generally the beginning of May, and in 2021, it will be conducted in accordance with the specific notice of Hanban.
★ ZJNU System
February 20th-July 30, 2021. Late applications will not be considered.

4. Application Procedures
Applicants should apply online: fill in the information online, upload the application materials and pay the registration fee at http://admission.zjnu.edu.cn.

6. Application Fee: 400 RMB (payable upon signing up online; non-refundable)
(1) The university offers 2 international student dormitories, i.e. Qiming international students Dormitory and international exchange Center Dormitory equipped with private bathrooms, air-conditioners, internet access, shared laundries, etc..
(2) The international student dormitories offer single room and double room. The cost is as below:
Single room: RMB 2250/person/semester;
Double room: RMB 4500/person/semester;
(3) CSC and CIS scholarship students whose scholarship provides free accommodation are not allowed to live outside campus in principle.
Around RMB 1000/person/year (expenses differs according to different people’s life style);
