Digital Media Technology Bachelor Program Calls for Application
The major aims at cultivating talents with excellent professional quality, who are able to systematically master the theoretical knowledge, practical skills and methods of digital media technology, and have the ability to design and develop digital media productions.
Classes include: Photography, Web Development, Video Production, Animation, Interactive Design, App and Game Development. Teaching real world application, at least 40% of class time is spent on applied learning with a focus on industry standard practice. This kind of training help students enrolled in this program combine technical and aesthetic skills in preparation for an industry that requires both and provides its students with the skills necessary to succeed in their career.
Facility includes various specialized labs, including a Game & Interactive Technology Lab, a Mobile Development Lab, a Graphics & Image Processing Lab, a Virtual Reality Lab, a Programming Lab, an Audio & Video Processing Lab, a Photo Studio, and a Digital Television Studio. The Digital Media Labs are used as classroom spaces, and may also be used by students for personal practice.
There are international collaborations with many foreign universities and research institutes in USA, Germany, Canada, Australia and UK. A new development within the department is the addition of an international component in App development, Internet technology, UI design and development, and digital video production. This has been implemented through exchange programs with foreign universities, and by inviting foreign guest professors to teach courses.

The study program focuses its resources on Laser 3D Technology with very close links to the technological industry.
Collaboration has been established with more than 20 big companies; such as Intel, HUAWEI, Huagong Tech, Xianlin 3D and Hualei Laser Tech to list a few.

Zhejiang University of Science and Technology-Rockwell Automation Comprehensive Laboratory was established under the support of Rockwell Automation a world famous company in 2015. It is an automation engineering application base which can provide theoretical teaching and engineering practice platform for the majors of robotics engineering, automation, electrical engineering and its automation.

International business is an inter discipline which covers international economy and engineering economy. This discipline mainly studies environment and risk of international business, technological innovation and management of international engineering, investment and financing decision of international business and so on. 6. Communication Engineering
a. English-taught Bachelor Program
The Communication Engineering major in ZUST was established in 1980s and has progressed rapidly to become one of the key construction majors of Zhejiang Province, China. We provide diverse curricula which instil in our students the imagination, talents, creativity, and skills necessary for the varied and rapidly changing demands of modern life. Our curricula not only cover practical courses using official training materials for career certification such as Huawei Certified ICT Associate/Professional/Expert (HCIA/HCIP/HCIE)-Routing & Switching, preparing our students for a career in the industry, but also Artificial Intelligence (AI)-related courses such as machine learning to prepare them for further studies in cutting-edge research areas.
b.Related English-taught Master Program
Offered by the same School of Information and Electronic Engineering (ITEE), Advanced Manufacturing and Informatization is an interdisciplinary discipline with mechanical engineering, computer science and technology, software engineering, and information and communication engineering.
At present, the ICT industry is in rapid development, and therefore all kinds of new information systems such as mobile internet, internet of things, vehicular networking, unmanned vehicle, unmanned aerial vehicles, smart phones and corresponding information services such as mobile payment emerge in endlessly, which requires many communication engineering talents, maintaining the optimistic prospect of employment.
After four years of study in Communication Engineering, approximately half of the graduates start a career in the industry, qualified as network engineers, hardware engineers, software engineers or project managers, who can go to the communications, electronics, information technology companies such as ZTE, Nokia, Alibaba, etc.
The other graduates continue to pursue postgraduate studies, in universities around China and overseas e.g. in Canada. Their excellent academic performance and extra-curriculum activity gives them an overwhelming advantage in scholarship applications. Many graduates proceed to pursue master’s degree at our own ITEE school with familiar supervisors.

A new information and communications technology (ICT) integration center of production and education was established in April 2018 together with ZTE Corporation. ZTE Corporation is a global leader in telecommunications and information technology, committed to providing communication devices and services over 160 countries around the world. There are four labs in our ICT center with a total investment of over ten million CNY, including LTE Mobile Communication Lab, Cloud Communication Lab, Data Communication Lab and PTN Network Communication Lab.
