Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) locates in the famous historical and cultural city of Xi’an. XAUAT inherits and promotes the professional advantage and expertise accumulated more than a hundred years. XAUAT has the disciplines of Civil Engineering and Architecture, which enjoys high reputation at home and abroad, as its characteristic specialties, Engineering as the major discipline, and also other disciplines such as Liberal Arts, Sciences, Economics, Management, Art and Law.

At present, XAUAT has 17 schools and departments offering 65 undergraduate programs to students. The university has 7 first-level and 30 second-level disciplines accredited to confer doctoral degrees, 4 post-doctoral centers, 9 national level specialties, and 15 provincial characteristics specialties. It is also authorized to confer professional master’s degree upon higher education, engineering, landscaping, architecture majors, etc.

XAUAT has successfully educated more than 400 international students from over 10 countries since 2008.

The School of International Education(SIE) at the Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology(XAUAT) doubles as an administrative hub, as well as a dedicated academic school. SIE has overall responsibility for the affairs of international students, including student enrollments, teaching and learning provision, supervision and operations. As an academic school, SIE has successfully educated more than 400 international students from over 10 countries since 2008.

SIE is proud to offer the Shaanxi Provincial Sanqin scholarship and XAUAT scholarship as financial aids to support the development of international students. The school boasts a team of experienced and devoted faculty academics and instructors, drawing upon a range of international experience and expertise across such fields as Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental and Municipal Engineering. Regarding the study of Chinese culture and linguistics, SIE has a board of academics   specializing in Chinese Language, Chinese Literature, Chinese Painting, Chinese Calligraphy, Martial Arts and Chinese Culture, to name a few. The remit of the board is to guarantee world-leading levels of teaching quality.

SIE offers a wide range of programs and courses available for the most talented and dedicated of students. International students can elect to take courses at different academic levels: undergraduate, masters and PhD programs are all designed to impart the highest quality learning for our students, with many programs supplemented by Chinese language training concurrent to academic studies. For students unable to take courses in Chinese, SIE offers a range of courses delivered in English, which are also supplemented with cultural studies, national tours and a flagship Chinese language summer held annually.
